“Kids-in-motion” – advanced training for kindergarten and school teachers
The advanced training program addresses kindergarten teachers and assistants, primary school teachers and child-care staff:
Numerous studies on kindergarten and school-aged children have shown that the significance of physical exercise is still being underestimated.
In 2004, the “kids-in-motion“ model (St. Veit/Glan kindergarten in motion) started an initiative aiming at ensuring a healthy overall development of children by means of systematic exercise programs. The “kids-in-motion” model – that has been scientifically evaluated – can rightly be referred to as THE primary prevention model.
Meanwhile, the “kids-in-motion” model has been successfully implemented in several kindergartens. Owing to the great interest shown by kindergarten teachers and assistants but also by school teachers, IMSB Austria offers advanced training for this target group at regular intervals.
The full training program consists of 6 modules which can EITHER be completed by way of three 2-day sessions OR by way of a one-week program. Participants who pass the training successfully obtain a “kids-in-motion” certificate. Kindergartens with employees who have successfully completed the training program may use the – protected – “kids-in-motion“ quality seal.
